The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for patient care, excellent communication skills, and comprehensive knowledge of dental hygiene practices. As a vital member of our clinic, the Registered Dental Hygienist will provide preventive dental services, educate patients on oral health, and support the overall efficiency of the dental practice. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' oral health and well-being through compassionate and professional care. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct initial patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history reviews to ensure safe treatment planning. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to infection prevention protocols and radiation safety standards. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) Monitor infection control procedures, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental instruments to uphold safety standards. Support patient care by reviewing medical records, documenting treatment details accurately, and managing medical coding as needed. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems Expertise in infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control standards. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively on oral health practices. Familiarity with dental x-ray procedures, medical imaging techniques, and maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
Pay:
$48.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 per week
