Job Description
Overview We are looking for a knowledgeable, friendly, and caring Dental Hygienist to join our small, family-oriented dental office. The ideal candidate is confident in providing quality patient care, educating patients on oral health, and performing diagnostic and clinical procedures within their scope. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring optimal oral health for each patient Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to tailor personalized care plans Educate patients on proper dental hygiene practices, preventive measures, and post-treatment care to foster lifelong healthy habits Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside assisting, managing dental equipment, and ensuring smooth workflow using four-handed dentistry techniques Take and develop dental x-rays (radiographs), ensuring accurate imaging while adhering to infection prevention protocols and radiation safety standards Uphold HIPAA compliance by safeguarding patient information and maintaining strict confidentiality throughout all interactions Requirements Active Dental Hygienist license Dental hygiene experience preferred Strong knowledge of periodontal care and preventive dentistry Able to perform duties within state-approved scope of practice Friendly, professional, and patient-focused Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliable and organized Comfortable working in a busy dental office Experience with dental software is a plus. Pay:
