Days Monday-Friday Onsite- Akron Children's Dental Clinic Summary:
The Dental Hygienist provides oral health care, dental health education and remediable intraoral procedures to patients in the hospital clinic or in School Health as prescribed by the Dentist.
Responsibilities:
Provides oral health care, dental health education and remediable intraoral procedures to patients in the hospital clinic or in School Health as prescribed by the Dentist. Contributes to the assessment of individual patient care. Contributes to the delivery of individual patient care. Demonstrates ability to provide age-appropriate care and service to patients from birth to 21 years, and selected adults. Participates in the educational, safety and quality efforts of the Dental Practice Other duties as required. Technical Expertise Experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred. Experience with electronic medical records is preferred. Experience working with various levels within an organization is required. Strong attention to detail and concentration skills is required. Experience in healthcare is preferred. Experience working in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required. Experience and willingness to work with Nitrous Oxide.
Education and Experience Education:
High school diploma or equivalent and graduate of an accredited dental training program or the equivalent in applicable experiences required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Certification:
Licensed to practice dental hygiene in the state of Ohio is required. Certified in CPR is required.
Years of relevant experience:
Minimum one year of experience is preferred.
