Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including periodontal maintenance, scaling and polishing. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical history to ensure safe and effective treatment plans Capture and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment, ensuring accurate diagnostics Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health Managing dental instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment using infection prevention protocols Review and update electronic health records (EHR) or electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring accurate documentation of patient care and treatment notes Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation, and current infection control standards in compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures Proven experience working in general dentistry or periodontist settings Proficiency in dental software systems for scheduling and documentation Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health care Knowledge of infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control standards Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety protocols and radiation guidelines Excellent communication skills for client education, team collaboration, and patient care coordination Join us in making a difference by providing outstanding dental hygiene services in a vibrant practice dedicated to patient well-being.
