Job Description
One day a week. A team you'll actually look forward to seeing. Maybe you're already working a few days somewhere else. Maybe you're looking to get back into hygiene without jumping into a full-time schedule. Or maybe Fridays just happen to be the day you're looking for. Whatever brought you here, we're glad you found us. Lebanon Pediatric Dentistry is looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team on Fridays — and we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with kids, connecting with families, and being part of a team that doesn't take itself too seriously. Because pediatric dentistry should be fun. Our days are filled with different personalities, nervous first-timers, hilarious conversations, little victories, and plenty of moments that remind us why we chose this profession in the first place. We believe in meeting children exactly where they are. Some kids hop right into the chair. Others need a little extra patience, encouragement, or creativity. Our job is to make each one feel safe, understood, and proud of themselves when they leave. That's what Lebanon Pediatric Dentistry was built around: gentle, individualized care in an environment filled with warmth, encouragement, and fun. The practice's core values center around being child-focused, leading with empathy, educating families, staying optimistic, and continually improving the care we provide. A little about us Lebanon Pediatric Dentistry is led by Dr. Petr Vaughan , who was born and raised right here in Lebanon. After earning his dental degree from The Ohio State University and completing his pediatric dental residency at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, he returned to the community he calls home to care for its children and families. And the culture we're building matters just as much as the dentistry. We want a team that laughs together, supports one another, communicates well, and understands that taking excellent care of children doesn't require being stiff or overly serious. We Care For the Child What your Friday will look like As our Friday hygienist, you'll help create positive dental experiences while providing excellent preventive care.
You'll:
Perform dental cleanings, scaling and polishing Educate children and parents about oral hygiene and preventive care Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants Take necessary dental radiographs Assist with oral health assessments Work closely with Dr. Vaughan and the clinical team Help nervous or hesitant children feel comfortable and successful Maintain accurate patient records and appropriate infection-control standards Most importantly, you'll help make going to the dentist something our kids don't have to dread. Who we're looking for You don't have to come to us with years of pediatric experience. We care much more about finding someone who is patient, positive, dependable, comfortable being a little silly with kids, and genuinely enjoys being part of a team. Pediatric experience is certainly a plus, but it's not required. You'll need: An active Ohio Registered Dental Hygienist license Associate or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene Current CPR certification Strong communication and interpersonal skills A genuine interest in working with children and families The schedule Fridays only 7:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The practice currently sees patients exclusively on Fridays, making this a unique opportunity for someone looking for a consistent, predictable one-day-a-week hygiene position. Come see what we're building. We're not looking to simply put someone in a hygiene chair every Friday. We're looking for the right person to become part of what we're building in Lebanon — someone who will celebrate the kid who finally opens their mouth, laugh at the ridiculous things children inevitably say, support the people working beside them, and go home knowing they made someone's dental experience a little better. If that sounds like the kind of Friday you'd enjoy, we'd love to meet you.Pay:
