This position for 1 to 4 days a week In this position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, periodontal care, and support the overall efficiency of the dental practice. Your dedication to patient comfort and health will help foster a positive environment that encourages trust and long-term relationships. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) accurately while adhering to infection control protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Treatment of Periodontal disease with laser and Arestin Use dental scanner itero and intraoral camera to educate patients on their oral and dental health and showing conditions Maintain detailed and accurate medical records, documenting treatment plans, patient responses, and clinical notes in Eaglesoft Follow strict infection control procedures, including aseptic technique and sterilization of instruments, to ensure patient safety. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental terminology standards. Monitor patient vital signs during appointments to ensure safety throughout treatment sessions. Support pediatric dentistry cases by providing specialized care tailored to children's needs in a compassionate manner. Experience-New grads welcome! willing to train! Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental office or clinic environment. Familiarity with Eaglesoft for efficient documentation and record management. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical coding standards. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to medical records confidentiality and patient privacy. Ability to identify occlusal and dental conditions and feel comfortable to discuss with patients and doctor for diagnosis and treatment Excellent communication skills for educating patients effectively and working collaboratively with the dental team.
