Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our dental team! In this role, you will provide dental care and patient education while maintaining a warm, welcoming environment. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review. Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health. Maintain accurate medical records, document treatment details, and review documentation for completeness and accuracy. Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental cleanings and radiographs. Proven experience working in general dentistry. Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and record management. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, maintaining patient confidentiality, and healthcare infection prevention standards. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients of all ages about dental care practices.
