2988842905-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Ideal Dental is seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to provide patient-centered preventive and periodontal care in a modern, multi-location practice. In this role, you'll perform comprehensive cleanings, scaling and root planing, radiographs, and oral health education while collaborating closely with dentists and team members. You'll work with advanced technology, strong clinical support, and clear growth paths, including CE and mentorship, to deliver convenient, high-quality care to a diverse, community-focused patient base. Responsibilities Provide preventive dental care including prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and periodontal maintenance Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and apply sealants and fluoride treatments Obtain and update dental and medical histories; chart existing conditions and periodontal status Take, process, and interpret digital dental radiographs according to safety standards Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, home care, and treatment plans Collaborate with dentists and clinical team to coordinate patient care and case planning Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and patient records in practice systems Ensure operatory setup, sterilization, and infection control in compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines Support patient scheduling, follow-up, and recall systems to improve care continuity Participate in continuing education, training, and quality initiatives to enhance patient care Required Skills Dental prophylaxis and periodontal therapy Digital dental radiography Local anesthesia administration (where permitted) Infection control and sterilization protocols Dental charting and periodontal charting Patient oral health education Use of dental practice management software Fluoride and sealant application Instrument sharpening and maintenance Pain and anxiety management techniques
