About this role Costa Dentistry is hiring a licensed Dental Hygienist for our Ashburn office, and we are specifically encouraging internationally trained dentists to apply. If you earned your DDS, DMD, or BDS outside the United States and have passed the Virginia dental hygiene licensing examination — or are currently eligible for licensure — we would like to hear from you. We understand the pathway you've taken, and we believe the clinical training you bring is an asset to our patients, not a footnote on a resume. This position is compensated at the full market rate for dental hygienists, with a competitive rate of pay. About the practice Costa Dentistry is a private, doctor-owned practice with locations in Ashburn and Great Falls. We have been recognized by Washingtonian, Northern Virginia Magazine, and DC Magazine, and our offices are newly renovated with current technology and a strong focus on patient experience. We are not a corporate group, and our team culture reflects that. Responsibilities Provide preventive hygiene care within your licensed scope, including prophylaxis, scaling, and periodontal maintenance Take and review radiographs; assess and document periodontal health Educate patients on oral health and treatment recommendations Collaborate with Dr. Costa and the clinical team on patient care Qualifications Dental degree (DDS, DMD, or BDS) from an accredited program, U.S. or international, with an active Virginia dental hygiene license or current eligibility for licensure Radiology certification and current CPR/BLS Strong English communication skills and a professional, warm chairside manner Authorization to work in the United States (adjust if sponsorship is available) Licensed hygienists from U.S. programs are also welcome to apply. Compensation and benefits $50-$60 per hour, based on experience Performance bonus structure Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k), paid time off, and sick leave We try to review every application within one business day.
