Lead Dental Hygienist Help Build a Hygiene Department from the Ground Up Battlefield Family Dentistry is seeking an experienced, motivated Lead Dental Hygienist who is excited by the opportunity to help build and shape a strong dental hygiene department within a developing practice. This is a full-time position based at Battlefield Family Dentistry in Chesapeake, VA. This is an ideal opportunity for a hygienist who enjoys more than simply maintaining an established schedule. We are looking for someone who wants to play an active role in developing systems, establishing clinical standards, building patient relationships, and creating a positive, high-performing hygiene culture. As our Lead Dental Hygienist, you will provide exceptional patient care while partnering with practice leadership to: Help develop efficient hygiene workflows, protocols, and scheduling standards Establish consistent clinical and periodontal care expectations Support the recruitment, onboarding, and development of future hygiene team members Promote strong communication and collaboration between hygiene, doctors, and the business team Help grow patient retention, reappointment, treatment acceptance, and overall hygiene department performance Identify opportunities to improve the patient experience and strengthen practice operations Serve as a positive clinical leader and role model as the practice continues to grow Model and reinforce Cook Dental Group's values of Family, Quality, Integrity, Compassion, Teamwork, and Fun within the hygiene department at Battlefield Family Dentistry The right candidate will be comfortable working in a developing environment where flexibility, initiative, and problem-solving are valued. The Lead Dental Hygienist receives:
Hourly pay of $50 - $60 per hour, based on experience Monthly leadership stipend of $400 Eligibility for individual hygiene bonuses Eligibility for practice performance bonuses Sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates Cook Dental Group provides a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being, professional growth, and long-term stability.
