As a Dental Hygienist with us, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our patients maintain optimal oral health and receive treatments that make their smiles brighter. Responsibilities Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling, fluoride treatments, and sealants Assess dental condition and needs of patients using patient screening and monitoring procedures Analyze x-rays and evaluate dental needs as necessary per practice protocols Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling) Document dental history or chief complaint; record and report pertinent observations and patient reactions to dental staff, as appropriate Follow through with oral hygiene procedures in accordance with treatment plans prescribed by the attending Dentist. Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure that all HIPAA regulations are followed Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments during treatment of patients Required Skills Proficiency in dental hygiene treatment and protocols Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks Knowledge of dental software and computer processing skills Familiarity with all safety protocols and ability to handle dental instruments properly
