Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality. Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to maintain a safe clinical environment. Review documentation for accuracy, update medical records, and assist with medical coding as needed for billing purposes. Support pediatric dentistry services by creating a friendly environment for young patients and understanding pediatric-specific dental needs. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations related to patient privacy (HIPAA) and maintain high standards of patient care at all times. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a general or pediatric dental practice is preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation. Experience in pediatric dentistry or working with children is a plus. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages while providing excellent client communication skills. Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards. Certification in dental assisting or relevant licensure as required by state regulations is preferred.
