Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining optimal oral health, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history, and dental examinations to ensure comprehensive care. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment, ensuring accuracy and safety. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong oral health. Assist with chairside procedures such as cavity fillings, sealants, and other general dentistry treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality. Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic technique and infection control measures, to safeguard patient and staff health. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures. Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably with familiarity in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry environments. Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and EHR management. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, dental terminology, and medical coding practices relevant to dental care. Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health needs and treatment plans. Ability to perform clinical duties efficiently while maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety. Pay:
$40.00 - $65.00 per hour
