Job Description

Job Overview Merry Family Dentistry (formerly Downtown Family Dental) has an opening for a full time Dental Hygienist. We are a well-established and respected dental office with a large community of loyal patients which has necessitated the building of a new facility which opened on September 3, 2024. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral health practices. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively within a team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Duties Conduct thorough dental cleanings (1 hour cleanings allowed for adults and 40 minutes for pediatric prophys) and examinations to assess patients' oral health. Utilize dental digital imaging systems to capture necessary diagnostic images. Maintain accurate medical records and document patient care in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Stay updated on advancements in general dentistry practices and techniques. Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and improve office efficiency. Skills Proficient in dental terminology and procedures relevant to general dentistry. Knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and dental care. Familiarity with dental imaging systems for diagnostic purposes. Strong commitment to patient care, ensuring a positive experience for all patients. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of confidentiality in patient records.
