Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice for a part-time position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care while ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience for our patients. As a vital member of our dental team, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients about preventive care. Duties Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health. Perform scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments as needed. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) to assist in diagnosis. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care. Review patient medical histories and document findings appropriately. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care. Skills Proficiency in dental software for patient management. Strong understanding of general dentistry practices and medical terminology. Experience with medical coding and documentation review is preferred. Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently. Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment. Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
