In this vital role, you will support clinical operations by preparing treatment areas, sterilizing dental instruments, and assisting dentists during procedures. Your commitment to infection prevention, patient comfort, and clinical excellence will help us deliver outstanding dental services in a fast-paced, friendly environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in general and pediatric dentistry while ensuring the highest standards of safety and hygiene. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments using proper infection control procedures aligned with dental sterilization standards. Assist dentists during various procedures, including chairside support for restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, oral surgery, and pediatric treatments. Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging technology such as 3D scanners and other medical imaging equipment. Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical records in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, and collecting vital signs to ensure accurate medical documentation. Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support patient management by explaining procedures, answering questions about oral health, and ensuring a comfortable experience. Follow strict infection prevention management protocols to uphold aseptic techniques and ensure dental equipment is properly sterilized and maintained. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments using patient management software and coordinating with the dental reception team for smooth clinic operations. Ensure all dental instruments are processed efficiently according to infection control standards, including proper cleaning, sterilization, and storage procedures. Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate eager to learn. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft enhances efficiency in managing patient records and documentation. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry procedures is highly beneficial for supporting clinical teams effectively. Experience with dental X-ray techniques, including digital imaging and 3D scanning technology, is advantageous. Demonstrated understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices ensures compliance with safety standards. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role. Certification in radiography or X-ray safety is a plus but can be obtained during training if not already held.
