The ideal candidate should be good with their hands and will possess excellent technical skills to fabricate orthodontic appliances, such as retainers, aligners, and other custom dental devices. The Orthodontic Lab Technician will work closely with our orthodontist and other members of the dental team to ensure the accurate and timely creation of orthodontic appliances, contributing to exceptional patient care and treatment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Orthodontic Appliance Fabrication:

Utilize specialized orthodontic laboratory equipment and techniques to construct a wide range of orthodontic appliances, including braces, retainers, aligners, space maintainers, expansion devices, and other custom dental devices.

Orthodontic Model Preparation:

Fabricate orthodontic models from patient impressions/3D scans using gypsum products and resins, ensuring an accurate representation of the patient's dentition and occlusion.

Appliance Adjustments and Repairs:

Perform necessary adjustments or repairs to orthodontic appliances based on orthodontist instructions or patient feedback, ensuring proper fit and function.

Quality Control:

Conduct thorough quality control checks to ensure the accuracy, precision, and overall quality of orthodontic appliances, adhering to established standards and specifications.

Records and Documentation:

Maintain detailed and accurate records of appliance fabrication and patient-related information, including appliance specifications, patient treatment plans, and materials used.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with orthodontist, dental assistants, and other members of the dental team to discuss plans, appliance modifications, and patient progress, ensuring effective communication throughout the treatment process.

Equipment Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance on orthodontic laboratory equipment, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs or replacements as necessary to facilitate smooth operations within the lab.

Adhere to all relevant orthodontic lab guidelines, infection control protocols, and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and sanitary working environment.
