Job Summary We are seeking energetic, dedicated, and "awesome" Dental Assistants to join our dynamic dental team! In this vital role, you will be the backbone of our clinical operations, providing exceptional patient care while supporting dentists in delivering top-quality dental services. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they walk through our doors. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and care Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging, ensuring patient safety and comfort while adhering to HIPAA regulations for medical documentation and records Manage patient flow efficiently using patient management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, including scheduling appointments and updating medical records Provide chairside assistance by handling dental instruments, maintaining clinical confidentiality policies, and supporting four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal workflow Monitor vital signs when necessary, assist with oral surgery procedures, and ensure all clinical procedures comply with infection control standards Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and answer questions related to dental terminology and procedures Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry is highly preferred but NOT required Proficiency with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Dentrix is advantageous Knowledge of dental equipment including 3D scanners, dental sterilization procedures, dental x-ray machines, and medical coding practices is beneficial Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control policies along with aseptic technique expertise Ability to communicate effectively using medical terminology while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment Experience with dental assisting tasks such as X-ray taking, instrument processing, and chairside assisting in diverse dental specialties including oral surgery or endodontics Join us if you're passionate about making a difference in patients' lives through compassionate care!
