Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Sterile Processing Technician, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and readiness of surgical instruments and medical equipment. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to patient safety, infection control, and operational excellence. As a key member of the sterile processing department, you will be responsible for preparing, sterilizing, and maintaining surgical tools to support high-quality patient care. Duties Receive, inspect, and sort used surgical instruments and equipment to identify cleaning and sterilization needs Operate sterilizers, washers, ultrasonic cleaners, and other specialized equipment following strict aseptic techniques Maintain accurate inventory management by tracking instrument sets and supplies to ensure availability for procedures Disassemble, clean, assemble, and package surgical instruments according to established protocols Document sterilization cycles, equipment maintenance, and quality control checks meticulously Adhere to strict infection control standards by following proper physiology knowledge and sterile processing procedures Assist with inventory management to ensure proper stock levels of sterile supplies and equipment Skills Strong understanding of sterile processing techniques and aseptic procedures Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to properly handle specialized surgical instruments Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to surgical instruments and procedures Ability to manage inventory efficiently while maintaining accurate records Excellent attention to detail to ensure all instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized, and stored Effective communication skills for collaborating with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals Commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized work environment Join us in delivering exceptional patient care through meticulous instrument preparation!
