Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a well rounded, team player Associate Dentist for our office in Escondido. The position will be for a 4 day week, Monday through Thursday. In this role, you will provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal oral health through a combination of clinical expertise and exceptional patient communication. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing dental conditions, developing treatment plans, and performing a wide range of dental procedures in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Responsibilities Deliver high-quality dental care including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for diverse patient populations. Perform dental procedures such as restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery, precision and care. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments utilizing medical and dental history review, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Utilize dental software systems like Denteo. Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions while fostering trust and comfort. Skills Proficiency in dental software platforms. Expertise in four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures. Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry, endodontics (root canal therapy), prosthodontics (crowns, bridges), orthodontics, oral surgery (including extractions), and dental implants. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and anatomy knowledge relevant to dental diagnosis and treatment planning. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients about their oral health needs effectively. Deep understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology related to healthcare diagnosis, and infection control standards aligned with OSHA guidelines. Ability to perform complex procedures such as root canals, dental fabrication (crowns/dentures), and oral surgeries with precision. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and experience maintaining confidential medical records in compliance with legal standards. Strong organizational skills for managing medical documentation and ensuring accurate recordkeeping throughout patient care processes.
