Responsibilities Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and implant placements. Conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnose dental conditions, and develop personalized treatment plans aligned with patient needs and preferences. Utilize dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for accurate medical documentation, treatment planning, and record keeping in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and adhere to OSHA standards to ensure patient and staff safety. Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions while fostering a welcoming environment. Collaborate with the dental team in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures. Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques by participating in ongoing education related to pediatric dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and other specialties. Experience Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting with a strong background in general dentistry. Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis processes. Experience performing complex procedures including dental extractions, implants, root canals, orthodontic treatments, and pediatric dentistry is advantageous. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations and explain treatment plans clearly. Knowledge of infection control standards, sterilization procedures, and medical imaging techniques relevant to oral health diagnostics. Prior experience adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining detailed medical records is essential for success in this role.
