Duties Perform a wide range of dental procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, restorations, extractions, endodontics (root canals), prosthodontics (crowns, bridges), orthodontics, oral surgery, and implant placement Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, to develop personalized treatment plans Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients Operate dental imaging equipment and interpret radiographs to assist in accurate diagnosis Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment Document all patient interactions, diagnoses, treatments, and medical records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations Collaborate effectively with team members using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient patient care delivery Manage patient communication with empathy and professionalism, explaining procedures and post-treatment care instructions clearly Maintain proficiency in using practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for scheduling, billing, and record keeping Stay updated on current dental practices and innovations to continually enhance clinical skills Experience Valid state license to practice dentistry with current DEA registration if applicable Proven experience in general dentistry with familiarity in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and implant procedures Demonstrated ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, dental fabrication, and oral surgeries effectively Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Dentrix; familiarity with Eaglesoft is a plus Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy relevant to dentistry, infection control standards, and medical imaging techniques Prior experience in a dental office or clinic setting providing comprehensive patient care is highly preferred Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly and compassionately Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws ensuring compliance at all times Join us as a Part-time Associate Dentist and be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding dental health services!
