An established, referral-based oral and maxillofacial surgery practice in the greater Sacramento area is seeking a full-time associate surgeon. This position offers the opportunity to join an established practice while building your own referral relationships and patient base. You will work alongside an experienced oral surgeon who provides clinical mentorship and supports your development as your practice grows. The initial caseload will emphasize third molar extractions and dentoalveolar surgery. For a surgeon interested in expanding their scope, the practice offers opportunities to develop in dental implant placement and full-arch surgery. There may also be a long-term opportunity to lead a practice of your own, subject to mutual fit and a separately agreed arrangement. Responsibilities Evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and provide oral and maxillofacial surgical care Perform third molar extractions and other dentoalveolar procedures Communicate treatment recommendations and postoperative instructions clearly to patients Develop and maintain relationships with referring dentists and providers Collaborate with the surgeon, clinical staff, and administrative team to coordinate patient care Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold appropriate standards of care Qualifications DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school Completion of an accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery residency Active California dental license or eligibility to obtain one Ability to obtain and maintain the credentials required for the procedures performed Sound clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and a patient-centered approach Interest in building referral relationships and growing a long-term surgical practice New graduates and experienced surgeons are encouraged to apply. Compensation and Opportunity The annual base salary range is $400,000-$500,000 , depending on experience, with additional production-based compensation. The specific compensation structure will be discussed with qualified candidates.
