Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dentist to join our private modern state of the art dental office, located near downtown San Leandro. In this role, you will provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal oral health and patient satisfaction. Your expertise in general dentistry, including restorative procedures, extractions, and preventive care, will be vital in delivering exceptional service. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for improving patients' smiles while adhering to all healthcare regulations and standards. Responsibilities Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery. Conduct thorough patient assessments to diagnose dental conditions accurately using medical imaging and dental terminology. Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient needs while explaining procedures clearly and compassionately. Maintain precise medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Utilize dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, charting, billing, and record management. Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed using aseptic techniques and proper sterilization methods. Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists practicing four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Educate patients on oral health maintenance, treatment options, and post-procedure care to promote long-term wellness. Qualifications Valid state dental license with current certification to practice dentistry. Experience preferred Proficiency with Dentrix practice management software preferred Skilled in performing all general dental procedures. Excellent patient communication skills is a plus Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality patient care standards.
