Duties Perform routine dental examinations, diagnoses, and develop personalized treatment plans for patients. Conduct various dental procedures involving restorative dentistry. Utilize dental imaging techniques to assess oral health conditions accurately. Maintain thorough and accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination. Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions. Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize patient flow and comfort. Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques, Dentrix practice management software, and dental fabrication processes. Skills Extensive knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Dentrix for documentation and scheduling. Strong clinical skills in general dentistry restorative procedures including dental implant restoration and all facets of adult restorative dentistry and management of cases Experience with medical diagnosis related to oral health issues and the ability to develop appropriate treatment plans. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient care and education. Familiarity with infection control practices and sterilization procedures within a dental office setting. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring patient confidentiality at all times. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards in patient care.
