Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general dentistry, with experience in pediatric dentistry and oral surgery being highly desirable. As a Dentist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing various dental procedures, and ensuring the overall health and safety of your patients. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team to deliver exceptional dental services while adhering to all relevant regulations and standards. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine oral health needs and develop treatment plans. Perform a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental extractions. Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Ensure infection control protocols are followed to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Educate patients on oral health practices and preventive care. Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to provide optimal patient care. Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques, including medical imaging and aseptic techniques. Qualifications Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state dental license. Proficiency in dental software systems such as Open Dental is needed. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology. Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus; familiarity with child behavior management techniques is beneficial. Ability to perform root canal therapy and other complex procedures with precision. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort. Prior experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly valued.
