Adjunct Instructor of Dental Assisting Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to teach a variety of laboratory courses in our Dental Assisting program. As a dental assisting part-time adjunct instructor, you will provide instruction in the teaching of dental assisting related laboratory courses.

Duties:

• Provides instruction to students related to 4-handed dental assisting, manipulation of dental materials, expanded functions dental assisting and dental imaging
• Directs and assists students in laboratory, clinic, or other experimental learning activities appropriate to the course, discipline and field.
• Establishes, posts, and maintains approved office hours for professional activities and duties, which include student conferences.
• Maintains required records and reports.
• Develops and provides to student's guidelines for student attendance and absence in the courses assigned.
• Develops and provides to student's guidelines for the determination of grades consistent with the College's grading standards in the courses assigned.
• Refer students with special needs to appropriate College resources.
• Upholds the ethical standards and principals particular to the specific professional responsibility, and contributes toward advancement of the College.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of dental assisting experience
• Current CDA credential
• FL credentialed for expanded functions dental assisting and dental radiology
• Graduate of a CODA-accredited dental assisting program (preferred)
