Job Description

The James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital , part of the VA Tampa Healthcare System, is seeking a skilled and compassionate General Dentist to provide exceptional oral healthcare to our nation's Veterans. This is an outstanding opportunity to practice in a collaborative, multidisciplinary academic medical center where quality patient care, professional development, and work-life balance are valued. As a member of our Dental Service, you will provide comprehensive dental care while working alongside experienced specialists and healthcare professionals dedicated to improving the health and well-being of Veterans.
Preferred qualifications include:
Completion of a Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)-accredited Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) or General Practice Residency (GPR) program. Comprehensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of complex dental conditions. Experience providing a full spectrum of general dental services, including restorative dentistry, fixed and removable prosthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery, and emergency dental care. Proficiency in developing comprehensive treatment plans and coordinating multidisciplinary care. Strong commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care, quality improvement, and clinical excellence. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with patients and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Previous experience in an academic medical center, hospital-based practice, or integrated healthcare system is preferred but not required.
