You'll have the opportunity to focus on surgery while our established general dentists and support teams help maintain a consistent flow of referred patients. Job Summary The Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon will diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and defects involving the mouth, teeth, jaws, and facial structures. The ideal candidate is committed to providing outstanding patient care while working collaboratively with our team of general dentists and specialists. This position offers the opportunity to perform a wide range of surgical procedures, including dentoalveolar surgery, implant placement, bone grafting, full-arch implant rehabilitation, pathology, and other oral and maxillofacial procedures based on your clinical expertise. Weekend coverage opportunities are available with additional incentives for providers interested in expanding patient access. Duties & Responsibilities Evaluate patients through comprehensive examinations and review of medical histories. Diagnose and treat conditions affecting the oral and maxillofacial region. Perform surgical extractions, including impacted third molars. Place dental implants and perform associated bone grafting and ridge preservation procedures. Perform full-arch implant surgery and other advanced implant procedures, as applicable. Diagnose and manage oral pathology and facial infections. Collaborate closely with referring general dentists to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans. Educate patients regarding treatment options, surgical procedures, post-operative care, and preventive measures. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with HIPAA and regulatory requirements. Adhere to strict infection control and patient safety standards. Stay current on advancements in oral and maxillofacial surgery through continuing education. Qualifications DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school. Certificate of completion from an accredited Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency program. Board Eligible or Board Certified (preferred). Active Hawaii Dental License (or ability to obtain prior to employment). DEA Registration and current CPR/BLS certification (ACLS/PALS preferred where applicable). Experience with dental implants, bone grafting, and complex oral surgery procedures preferred. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
