Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Airway Dentist specializing in both adult and pediatric airway to join our dynamic dental team. We are a local, non corporate, dental office with a whole-health focus. This vital role focuses on diagnosing, managing, and treating airway-related issues that impact breathing, sleep, and overall oral health. As an Airway Dentist, you will utilize advanced dental and orthodontic techniques and collaborate closely with medical professionals to improve patient outcomes. Your expertise will help identify underlying airway obstructions and implement comprehensive treatment plans that promote healthier lives for our diverse patient population. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify airway obstructions and related dental or medical conditions in both adults and children Perform detailed dental diagnoses using medical imaging, oral examinations, and diagnostic tools aligned with HIPAA and healthcare regulations Develop and execute individualized treatment plans incorporating procedures such as dental extractions, oral surgery, orthodontics, prosthodontics, root canal therapy, and dental implants as needed Utilize advanced dental software including Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for accurate documentation of medical records and treatment progress Implement infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during all procedures Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive care addressing sleep apnea, breathing disorders, and other airway issues Educate patients and their families on airway health, treatment options, and post-procedure care to enhance understanding and compliance Maintain meticulous medical documentation adhering to state healthcare regulations and HIPAA standards Experience MARPE, Hyrax. Airway appliances, and working with a myofunctional therapist. Extensive knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis processes Hands-on experience with dental office management software Open Dental is preferred. Demonstrated ability in patient care including patient assessment, client communication, and delivering compassionate service in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic techniques, medical imaging technology, and dental fabrication processes Prior experience working within a dental clinic or healthcare setting that emphasizes airway management or sleep medicine is highly desirable Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and state healthcare regulations governing medical records and documentation Join us in transforming lives through innovative airway solutions!
