Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal oral health and patient satisfaction. Your expertise will help deliver high-quality treatments, foster positive patient relationships, and uphold the highest standards of clinical excellence. Responsibilities Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and dental implants. Conduct thorough patient assessments using medical and dental history reviews, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with patient needs and preferences while explaining procedures clearly to ensure informed consent. Maintain accurate and detailed medical and dental records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, billing, and treatment planning. Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during all procedures. Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Communicate effectively with patients about their oral health status and recommended treatments to promote ongoing care and satisfaction. Requirements Valid state dental license with current registration in good standing. Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in dental diagnosis, medical terminology, and dental terminology. Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical imaging techniques, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform complex procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, oral surgery, prosthodontics (crowns, bridges), orthodontics basics, pediatric dentistry procedures, and implant placements. Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws governing medical documentation and records management. Experience working in a busy dental clinic or office environment is preferred. Ability to stay current on advancements in general dentistry practices through ongoing education and training.
