- $800,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Doctoral degree Dental License Basic life support Prescribing medications Full Job Description We are expanding rapidly and seeking Associate Dentists to join our team across 14 locations in Indiana, including Indianapolis, Terre Haute, Lafayette, Kokomo and Anderson.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Patient Examination and Diagnosis:
Conduct thorough oral examinations to assess dental health. Interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays, to identify conditions such as cavities, gum disease, or oral cancers.Treatment Planning and Execution:
Develop individualized treatment plans addressing patients' dental needs. Perform procedures like fillings, root canals, extractions, crowns, bridges, and dental implants. Administer anesthetics to manage patient pain during procedures.Preventive Care and Patient Education:
Provide guidance on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care. Offer treatments such as cleanings, fluoride applications, and sealants to prevent tooth decay and gum disease.Cosmetic Dentistry:
Enhance patients' smiles through procedures like teeth whitening, veneers, and orthodontics.Collaboration and Supervision:
Work closely with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care. Supervise and mentor junior dental staff and students, fostering a culture of continuous learning.Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Stay informed about advancements in dental technology and techniques to provide state-of-the-art care.Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, ensuring the clinic meets health and safety standards. Implement and follow infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment. Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations by: Protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all patient health information (PHI). Properly storing, handling, and sharing patient records only with authorized personnel. Staying informed and trained on current HIPAA guidelines and updates. Participate in regular compliance training and internal audits to identify and resolve any potential risks or breaches in protocol.Qualifications:
1. Educational Background Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school. Additional certifications or advanced training (e.g., endodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, periodontics) are a plus. 2. Licensure and Certifications Valid and unrestricted dental license to practice in the state of Indiana . Current CPR/BLS certification (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers). DEA registration for prescribing medications (if required). 3. Clinical Experience Minimum of 2-5 years of clinical experience preferred, though recent graduates with strong externship/internship exposure may be considered. Proven experience performing a wide range of dental procedures (restorative, cosmetic, preventive, and emergency care). Experience working with dental technologies and software (e.g., digital radiography, intraoral cameras, Open Dental, Dentrix, etc.). 4. Knowledge and Technical Skills In-depth knowledge of dental anatomy, oral pathology, pharmacology, and dental materials. Proficiency in diagnosis and treatment planning. Skilled in pain management, anesthesia administration, and post-operative care. Up-to-date on infection control and sterilization procedures. 5.
