We are seeking an Indiana-licensed Part-Time Dentist to provide comprehensive dental care to residents at the Indiana Veterans' Home (IVH). The dentist will focus on geriatric dental care, including age-related oral health conditions and the unique needs of residents with physical or cognitive impairments. The position requires approximately 8 hours per week , which may be scheduled as one full day or split across two partial days. No on-call requirement. Responsibilities Provide onsite dental services at the Indiana Veterans' Home 1-2 days per week, up to 8 hours total. Conduct initial and ongoing oral health assessments. Interpret portable dental radiographs as appropriate. Develop individualized daily oral care plans for residents. Oversee fluoride treatments, cleanings, and preventive dental care. Perform general dentistry procedures, including: Fillings Treatment of periodontal disease Extractions of loose or decayed teeth Denture repairs and relining Crowns and other appropriate restorative procedures Prescribe antibiotics and analgesics when clinically necessary. Coordinate with facility medical staff regarding residents' medications and polypharmacy, including medication-related dry mouth and other oral side effects. Assess resident oral health using standardized nursing facility assessment tools and maintain regulatory compliance. Educate nursing and caregiving staff on safe and effective daily oral hygiene practices for residents with cognitive or physical limitations. Follow all applicable infection control, patient safety, privacy, and regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications Current, unrestricted Indiana Dental License .
