PEDIATRIC DENTIST
Lexington, KY Area Lead Your Own Practice With a Clear Path to
Partnership Position Highlights Work-Life Balance:

Step into the only dedicated pediatric practice in town, a regional destination for families across Central and Eastern Kentucky with 2,500+ active patients and 5 new patients walking in daily.
Ideal Work Environment:
A fully digital, paperless office with 6 chairs, cloud-based Dentrix Ascend, and state-of-the-art technology, including an intraosseous anesthesia system that providers say has changed the way they practice.
Favorable Call Schedule:
After-hours calls are triaged by a seasoned office manager, so you're only contacted for true emergencies.
Culture & Support:
Clinical autonomy with no dictated procedure mix or daily collection minimums, backed by a stable, tenured team, an area manager, a nearby pediatric mentor doctor, and full support for HR, marketing, recruiting, and operations. Private practice feel, zero islands.
Partnership Opportunities:
Join a doctor-owned group that chose independence over private equity. Partnership is typically 3 to 5 years and can be fast-tracked for doctors leading their own office, with a buy-in of roughly $250K to $300K (versus $1M to $2M to purchase a practice) and current partners seeing 25% to 32% returns.
Compensation & Benefits Competitive Compensation:
Greater of a $300,000 guaranteed base (a true floor, not a draw) or 30% of net collections, reconciled monthly with no lab fee deductions. A realistic growth path to $1.35M in collections puts earnings around $405,000.
Additional Bonus Incentives:
The real bonus is ownership. Partnership brings a compensation increase, profit distributions, and retained earnings.
Sign-On Bonus:
$25,000 paid in full on your first paycheck.

Qualifications Degree:
DDS or DMD with completion of an accredited pediatric dental residency.
Certifications:
Board certified or board eligible in pediatric dentistry (certification preferred).
Licensure:
Kentucky dental license or eligibility to obtain one. An active Kentucky Medicaid ID is a plus, and credentialing support is provided.
Skillset:
Confident in full-scope pediatric care, including restorative treatment and sedation, with strong behavior management skills and a genuine desire to lead a team.
Experience:
Two to three years preferred, such as a prior pediatric associate role. Recent residency graduates with general dentistry experience before residency are encouraged to apply.
