Dental Insurance, FFS, and medicaid Associate Dentist Responsibilities Perform a wide range of general dentistry procedures, including examinations, fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions and more Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging. Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnosis and treatment plans effectively with patients and team members. Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and comply with HIPAA regulations. Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical records using electronic health record system. Qualifications Valid state license to practice dentistry as an Associate Dentist. Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment with familiarity in dental office software Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, infection control practices, and medical records management. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging using advanced tools such as digital X-rays and medical imaging technology. Develop personalized treatment plans based on accurate dental diagnosis, patient needs, and healthcare diagnosis standards while adhering to HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws. Utilize dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for documentation, scheduling, billing, and medical records management to ensure precise record-keeping. Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and infection control standards to prevent cross-contamination and ensure patient safety. Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions while fostering a welcoming environment. Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry setups to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures. Stay updated on current dental practices by participating in continuing education related to pediatric dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, dental implants, and other specialties. Requirements Valid state dental license with current DEA certification if applicable. Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and implant procedures. Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis standards. Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontic fabrication, and oral surgeries with precision.
