Responsibilities Perform a wide range of oral surgical procedures such as dental extractions, implant placements, and soft tissue surgeries with precision and care. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, diagnosis, and treatment planning based on clinical findings. Utilize advanced dental imaging techniques to assist in accurate diagnosis and surgical planning. Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment. Collaborate with general dentists, specialists, and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care effectively. Maintain detailed medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Communicate clearly with patients about procedures, post-operative care instructions, and answer any questions to ensure comfort and understanding. Experience Proven experience in oral surgery or related fields such as pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, or orthodontics is highly preferred. Familiarity with dental practice management software including Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes. Hands-on experience with dental implants, root canal therapy, dental extractions, and other advanced surgical procedures. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy relevant to oral surgery, and infection control standards. Prior experience working in a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting that emphasizes patient care excellence. Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently to optimize patient comfort and procedural flow. Strong client communication skills combined with a thorough understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical records management.
