Responsibilities Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and implant placements. Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing dental diagnosis techniques and medical imaging to develop personalized treatment plans. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws by maintaining accurate medical documentation and dental records. Utilize dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for scheduling, charting, billing, and record keeping. Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety. Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-procedure care while fostering a comfortable environment. Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize workflow efficiency and patient comfort. Requirements Valid state dental license with current credentials to practice general dentistry. Proven experience in dental office settings or clinics with proficiency in dental terminology and medical terminology. Familiarity with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic technique, and healthcare diagnosis procedures. Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, implant placements, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and pediatric dentistry as needed. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients on oral health practices. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare requirements for medical documentation and medical records management.
