We're looking for someone who wants to take ownership of the clinical side of a practice, build relationships with patients, and grow alongside the office. You won't be expected to figure out everything out alone; the practice will provide the patients, staff, equipment, marketing, and administrative support. Your focus is on the patients, but you'll excel in this role if you're a self-starter and someone who's looking to take ownership of this practice alongside the team. Duties Provide comprehensive general dentistry services, including dental examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and restorative procedures such as dental implants, root canal therapy, extractions, and prosthodontics. Lead and mentor a team of dental professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Oversee patient assessments, medical and dental history reviews, and develop personalized treatment plans aligned with best practices and regulatory standards. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, HIPAA regulations, and state healthcare laws to maintain the highest standards of patient safety and confidentiality. Utilize advanced dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for accurate medical documentation, scheduling, billing, and electronic health records management. Conduct dental imaging procedures using modern equipment to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Communicate effectively with patients to educate them on procedures, treatment options, oral health maintenance, and post-treatment care to enhance patient satisfaction. Qualifications Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state dental license with eligibility to practice as a Lead General Dentist. Proven experience in general dentistry, plus if you have proficiency in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, orthodontics, prosthodontics, and implantology. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology related to healthcare diagnosis, anatomy, and medical imaging techniques. Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Open Dental; experience with electronic health records is highly preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage clinical staff effectively while maintaining high standards of patient care. Knowledge of infection control protocols including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients clearly about diagnoses and treatment plans. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and state-specific laws. Experience with implants, Invisalign®, cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, or oral surgery is a plus. If you want to become the primary dentist of a brand-new practice with patients provided and compensation tied directly to production, we'd like to hear from you.
