Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and motivated and skilled Associate Orthodontist to join our dynamic pedo/ortho team. In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional orthodontic care, focusing on creating beautiful smiles and improving patient confidence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment dedicated to excellence in dental health and patient satisfaction. 1-2 Saturday is a must Duties Conduct comprehensive orthodontic assessments, including dental and medical history review, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging. Develop and implement customized treatment plans utilizing the latest orthodontic techniques and appliances. Perform orthodontic procedures such as placement of braces, aligners, retainers, and other appliances with precision and care. Collaborate with general dentists and specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care, including referrals for related procedures like oral surgery or prosthodontics. Maintain accurate and detailed medical and dental records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Educate patients on treatment options, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment care to ensure optimal outcomes. Stay current with advancements in orthodontics by participating in continuing education and professional development activities. Skills Proficiency with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for documentation and treatment planning. Expertise in four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency during procedures. Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry, including treating young patients with specialized approaches. Familiarity with anesthesia techniques used in dental procedures for patient comfort. Ability to perform dental diagnoses using medical imaging and clinical evaluation skills. Excellent client communication skills to explain treatment plans clearly and empathetically. Deep understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures. Knowledge of orthodontic appliances, dental fabrication processes, dental implants, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and root canal therapy. Awareness of HIPAA guidelines, medical documentation standards, and compliance with all healthcare regulations. Strong foundation in anatomy knowledge relevant to oral structures and facial bones.
