Responsibilities Perform general dentistry procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics. Diagnose dental conditions using medical imaging, dental charts, and patient assessments while adhering to HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Develop personalized treatment plans based on thorough patient evaluations and dental diagnosis. Conduct pediatric dentistry procedures with special attention to pediatric patients' needs and comfort. Execute oral surgery procedures such as dental implants, extractions, and other surgical interventions with aseptic technique. Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient care. Maintain accurate medical documentation, dental records, and treatment notes in compliance with healthcare diagnosis standards. Communicate clearly with patients about their treatment options, procedures, and post-care instructions to foster trust and understanding. Follow infection control protocols diligently to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and techniques including dental fabrication, orthodontics, endodontics, and medical imaging tools like digital X-rays. Skills Proficiency in dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for scheduling, charting, billing, and documentation management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices. Expertise in general dentistry procedures along with specialized skills in pediatrics, orthodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics (root canals), and implant placement. Ability to assess patient needs accurately through comprehensive diagnosis and develop effective treatment plans accordingly. Excellent client communication skills to educate patients about their oral health status and treatment options confidently. Experience working within a dental office environment that emphasizes high-quality patient care and team collaboration.
