Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our dynamic surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in oral and maxillofacial surgery, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. As an Oral Surgeon, you will perform complex surgical procedures, including dental extractions, dental implants, and other advanced oral surgeries, while ensuring adherence to the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and patient comfort. Duties Perform a wide range of oral surgical procedures including dental extractions, implant placements, and corrective jaw surgeries. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and diagnostic imaging interpretation using medical imaging tools. Develop comprehensive treatment plans aligned with patient needs and healthcare diagnosis protocols. Ensure strict adherence to infection control practices and aseptic techniques during all procedures. Collaborate with general dentists, specialists, and healthcare providers to coordinate patient care effectively. Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Utilize dental terminology accurately when explaining procedures and treatment options to patients. Provide post-operative care instructions and monitor patient recovery throughout the healing process. Stay updated on advancements in oral surgery techniques, dental implants, and related fields such as prosthodontics and orthodontics. Uphold high standards of client communication to ensure patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident in their treatment plans. Qualifications Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution with specialized training in oral surgery. Valid license to practice dentistry within the applicable state or region. Proven experience performing complex oral surgeries within a clinical setting; experience with dental implants is highly desirable. Proficiency in using electronic health records systems Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly and empathetically. Familiarity with dental fabrication processes and medical imaging technology for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Ability to work efficiently within a team environment practicing four-handed dentistry for optimal patient outcomes.
