Practice infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Maintain detailed and accurate medical records using dental software ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care strategies, and treatment options to promote long-term wellness. Collaborate with team members on complex cases involving pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, or other specialties as needed. Adhere to all dental terminology standards and medical documentation procedures to ensure clarity and consistency in patient records. Requirements Valid dental license in South Carolina in good standing with the state licensing board. Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic or office environment with proficiency in dental office software. Strong knowledge of general dentistry procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles and techniques for treating children effectively. Ability to communicate complex medical and dental terminology clearly to patients of diverse backgrounds. Commitment to infection control standards and aseptic techniques aligned with OSHA guidelines. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental practice and proficiency in medical imaging interpretation. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on patient assessment and delivering compassionate service. Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to medical records confidentiality and privacy laws.
