Position Summary The Dentist provides comprehensive, high-quality oral healthcare to patients in alignment with CCHS standards, FQHC regulations, and evidence-based clinical practices. This role supports the organization s mission by improving oral health outcomes, promoting preventive care, and expanding access to dental services within underserved populations. The Dentist also contributes to community outreach and patient engagement efforts, while providing clinical leadership and operational oversight within the dental clinic. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive diagnostic, preventive, and restorative dental care in accordance with accepted clinical guidelines and FQHC standards. Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for diseases and conditions affecting the teeth, gums, and oral cavity. Perform a full range of dental procedures, including restorative care, extractions, preventive treatments, and minor surgical services. Educate patients on oral hygiene, disease prevention, nutrition, and overall health as it relates to oral care. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including HRSA guidelines, infection control standards, and CCHS policies. Maintain accurate, timely, and complete electronic health records in accordance with legal and organizational standards. Collaborate with medical, behavioral health, and enabling services teams to support integrated, whole-person care. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics to enhance patient outcomes and clinic efficiency. Support community outreach and health promotion efforts to increase access to dental services. Assist in the oversight of clinic operations, including staffing, workflow management, and resource utilization, as needed. Provide leadership, mentorship, and supervision to dental staff, including hygienists, assistants, and support personnel. Qualifications Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited institution. Active, unrestricted Tennessee dental license. Eligibility for credentialing and privileging consistent with CCHS and FQHC requirements. Demonstrated commitment to serving underserved and vulnerable populations. Strong interpersonal, communication, and team collaboration skills.
