Position Summary The Associate Dentist delivers comprehensive general dentistry services to a growing patient panel, providing diagnosis, treatment planning, and hands-on clinical care that meets both patient health needs and practice performance standards. This role serves patients across the full scope of general dentistry and works in close partnership with the hygiene team, dental assistants, and front office staff to ensure quality outcomes and an exceptional patient experience. The core purpose is to deliver clinically excellent care, drive practice production through strong case acceptance, and build lasting patient relationships that support long-term practice growth.
Core Responsibilities Associate:
Independently executes full scope of general dentistry under practice oversight. Clinical Excellence & Patient Care Diagnose and treat a broad range of dental conditions including restorative, preventive, periodontal, and minor oral surgery procedures. Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that align with patient goals and clinical findings. Perform clinical procedures including examinations, restorations, extractions, endodontic treatment, crown and bridge, dentures, and preventive care. Review and interpret radiographs, periodontal assessments, and diagnostic records to support accurate clinical decision-making. Collaborate with the hygiene team to reinforce periodontal findings and maintain treatment continuity across the patient care experience. Maintain budgetary awareness of treatment recommendations, material usage, and lab costs to support practice financial health. Patient Experience & Case Acceptance Present treatment plans clearly and confidently to support informed consent and strong case acceptance. Build trust with patients through consistent follow-through, clear communication, and a patient-centered approach to care. Participate in case reviews, team huddles, and continuing education to support ongoing clinical development and team alignment. Compliance & Documentation Document all clinical findings, procedures, treatment plans, and informed consent accurately and in compliance with regulatory and practice standards. Maintain strict adherence to infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA requirements at all times.
Requirements:
Education & Qualifications Required Experience Demonstrated ability to perform general dentistry procedures independently and with clinical confidence. Required Education Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school. Required Licensure & Certifications Active, unrestricted dental license in the state of practice. Current DEA registration and CPR/BLS certification.
Preferred:
1-3 years of clinical experience in a private practice, DSO, or group dental setting. Experience with Dentrix or other dental practice management software. Strong case acceptance track record and patient communication skills. Interest in clinical growth, mentorship, and long-term contribution within the organization. #INDDENTAL
