Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or an RDA with expanded functions or a RDH with local anesthetic abilities to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, support patient care, and ensure smooth clinical operations. Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient communication will contribute to delivering high-quality dental services in a friendly and efficient environment. Duties Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including restorations, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, adhering to HIPAA and infection control standards. Manage medical documentation and records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Dentrix. Monitor vital signs and medical history of patients, especially pediatric patients, to ensure safety during procedures. Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to uphold the highest standards of patient safety. Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions while fostering a welcoming environment. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, four-handed dentistry, and medical imaging. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing patient records efficiently. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry procedures and the unique needs of pediatric patients. Ability to operate 3D scanners and other advanced dental technology effectively. Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures in a dental clinic setting. Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist to coordinate appointments and patient inquiries effectively.
