Job Description Summary:
The purpose of this position is to teach and/or assist in assigned dental assisting courses, labs, and clinic sites and maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Associates degree if instructing a lab or clinical. Bachelors degree if instructing a didactic course. Three (3) years of clinical experience in the field using four-handed dentistry skills. Current license as a Registered Dental Assistant ( RDA ) through the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners ( TSBDE ). Current credential as a Certified Dental Assistant ( CDA ) through the Dental Assisting National Board ( DANB ). Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation ( CPR ) / Basic Life Support ( BLS ) for the Healthcare Provider certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching at the secondary or college level. Experience teaching college level online courses and/or documented successful training in a college online learning management system (e.g. Blackboard, Canvas). Special Instructions to
