Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a General Dentist, where you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages. Responsibilities Perform a wide range of dental procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and dental implants. Conduct thorough patient assessments using medical and dental history reviews, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging to develop accurate diagnoses. Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate treatment plans and educate patients on oral health maintenance. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws by maintaining accurate medical documentation and medical records. Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols diligently to ensure patient safety during all procedures. Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize workflow efficiency. Stay updated on the latest advancements in general dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry to provide cutting-edge care. Manage dental fabrication processes such as crowns or bridges when necessary for patient treatment plans. Communicate clearly with patients about treatment options, procedure steps, and post-treatment care to foster trust and satisfaction. Maintain proficiency in using practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, billing, and documentation purposes. Experience Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting with a focus on general dentistry. Demonstrated ability to perform diverse dental procedures including extractions, root canals, implants, orthodontic treatments, and pediatric dentistry. Strong knowledge of medical imaging techniques and anatomy relevant to dental diagnosis and treatment planning. Familiarity with healthcare diagnosis processes and medical terminology essential for accurate patient assessment. Experience adhering to infection control standards and aseptic techniques within a clinical environment. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages while demonstrating compassion and professionalism. Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Dentrix is highly preferred.
