Job Description

Summary This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP)
  • a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval
  • award amount (up to $200
  • 000) & eligibility period (1 to 5 years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.

  • but it may close sooner if a selection for this vacancy is made Dentist (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon) The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon serves as a practicing dentist who performs a full range of professional dental procedures in connections with the treatment of commonly encountered dental diseases or dental health problems requiring standard corrective

  • or preventive measures The 1 Make oral and radiographic examinations of the oral cavity and its adjacent tissues and structures 2 Diagnose pathological or irregular oral conditions 3 Accomplish admissions
  • work-up and performance of surgical procedures of patients presenting with illnesses
  • injuries
  • and disorders of both the functional and aesthetic aspects of the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial regions 4 Accomplishes dental-alveolar surgical procedures
  • reduction of facial fractures
  • placement of dental implants and biopsy procedures 5 Provide safe and effective anesthesia services in the outpatient setting including intravenous sedation/general anesthesia 6 Active participant in the General Practice Residency and Maxillofacial Implant programs VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package
