Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) Everstead Health & Rehabilitation Center Russellville, AL Full-Time Everstead Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to lead our Dietary Services department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Dietary Manager who enjoys leading teams, maintaining regulatory compliance, and creating a positive dining experience for residents. Position Overview The Certified Dietary Manager is responsible for directing the daily operations of the dietary department while ensuring residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals that meet physician orders, therapeutic diet requirements, and individual preferences. This leadership role works closely with nursing, rehabilitation, and interdisciplinary teams to support outstanding resident care. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the dietary department. Supervise, coach, schedule, and develop dietary team members. Ensure meals are prepared and served according to physician orders and therapeutic diets. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including CMS and food safety standards. Monitor food quality, sanitation, infection prevention, and kitchen safety practices. Manage departmental inventory, purchasing, budgeting, and food costs. Partner with the Registered Dietitian and clinical team to support resident nutrition and wellness. Participate in resident care planning and interdisciplinary meetings. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure survey readiness. Foster a culture focused on hospitality, teamwork, and resident satisfaction. Qualifications Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential required or eligible to obtain. Previous experience as a Dietary Manager, Certified Dietary Manager, Food Service Manager, or healthcare dietary leader preferred. Experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, long-term care, hospital, or healthcare environment preferred. Knowledge of therapeutic diets, nutrition management, sanitation standards, and food service operations. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. ServSafe Certification is preferred.
