Job Overview Join our dedicated dietary team as a Part-Time Senior Nursing Facility Dietary Aide! In this role, you will assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals tailored to the dietary needs of our residents. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming dining environment for our geriatric patients. Your efforts will directly contribute to enhancing the quality of life for our residents through delicious, well-balanced meals prepared with care and adherence to safety standards. Duties Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences Serve meals efficiently while adhering to proper food handling and sanitation procedures Follow all safety protocols, including safe lifting practices and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, dining areas, and food service utensils in compliance with sanitation standards such as CDPH (California Department Public Health) Adhere strictly to dietary requirements for residents, including special diets and nutritional guidelines Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while managing time effectively during busy meal periods Qualifications Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or food industry settings is highly preferred Knowledge of food production, preparation, and service techniques with a focus on geriatric nutrition Strong understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and workplace safety protocols Ability to handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting and safe lifting practices with physical stamina Excellent time management skills to coordinate meal preparation and service efficiently Basic math skills for portioning and inventory management Compassionate attitude with experience working with elderly or geriatric patients is a plus Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification is advantageous Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment and adhering to dietary guidelines ensures quality service delivery Fluent in English Join us in creating a warm, safe, and nourishing environment where every meal makes a difference.
